Lee BIA Government Affairs Committee

Advocacy to state and local policy makers on behalf of the industry is a critical component of the BIA mission. The Government Affairs Committee develops and executes association policy on local regulatory, legislative and government policy issues of impact to the building industry.

Political Action Committee Board of Directors (PAC)

The Political Action Committee Board of Directors is the governing body of the Political Action Committee. To belong to the Board you must be an Executive Level Political Action Committee Member.

Membership Development Committee
This committee works to retain and recruit members to the association. They also plan and help orchestrate membership events.

Lee BIA Political Action Committee (LPAC)
The LPAC’s mission is to back local and state candidates for election that support growth, the construction industry and the business community. Back the PAC at www.leebiapac.com

THESE ARE COMMITTEES ESTABLISHED BY LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN WHICH THE ASSOCIATION APPOINTS MEMBERS TO SERVE

Fort Myers Building and Zoning Oversight Committee (BZOC)

BZOC is responsible for the oversight of the Building & Zoning Enterprise Fund to assure that the department is well funded to meet the demand of permitting, inspections and plan review. Committee members are appointed by the Lee BIA, but all industry professionals are welcome to attend. 

Lee County Building Industry Oversight Committee (BIOC)

BIOC is responsible for the oversight of the Building Department Enterprise Fund, to assure that the department is well funded to meet the demand of permitting, inspections and plan review. Committee members are appointed by the Lee BIA, but all industry professionals are welcome to attend. 

Lee County Executive Regulatory Oversight Committee (EROC)

Purpose of EROC is to assess the impact of all new regulations on the local economy in accordance with the Economic Element of the Lee Plan. 

Lee County Government Liaison Committee (LCGC)

Purpose of EROC is to assess the impact of all new regulations on the local economy in accordance with the Economic Element of the Lee Plan.
